PRINCIPALS
Scott Van Sooy, ASLA
California Landscape Architect #5505

Scott's tenure with Land Images began in 2005, and in 2015 he became the Managing Principal, establishing the firm's second generation of management. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded its philosophy to focus on efficiency, increase its investment in infrastructure and technology, expanding marketing efforts, and strengthening existing client relationships while establishing new ones.

Scott's experience managing the design and development process, including personnel and sub-consultant oversight, helped inform his leadership skills. His experience includes a wide range of project types, including university and K-12 campus development, sports facilities, public parks, and mixed-use development.

In addition to providing leadership to the firm's professional staff, Scott works directly with clients to create solutions that not only meet their needs, but are unique and transformative.

Scott holds degrees from UCLA, Purdue University, and Iowa State University.
