Founded in 1977 as a full-service Landscape Architecture firm, Land Images will soon celebrate its 40th year. We approach this milestone with a combined sense of pride in our accomplishments and excitement about our future.
Under our original founders, Land Images developed a reputation for creative design solutions, technical proficiency and 'Big Picture' thinking. Our master plans for the California Institute of Technology, Loyola Marymount University, and Pomona College have become the blueprints for thousands of students' lifelong memories. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through awards from ASLA, AIA, the City of Los Angeles, Habitat for Humanity, Los Angeles Beautiful, and many others.
Our firm, now under a second generation of leadership, has expertise in planning, site design, and implementation at every scale, including campus, park, athletic, recreation, mixed use, adaptive reuse, and urban infill projects. We believe every site, large or small, is an opportunity to add social, environmental, and economic value to the community. Our design solutions are rooted in a thorough understanding of the site’s character, the community's fabric, and the client's needs. We approach each project with fresh eyes, guided by experience but always exploring new ideas.
Our clients are architects, developers, municipalities, school districts, parks departments, private schools and universities. We greatly value their input and are always quick to respond to their needs. We see our long-term client relationships, some spanning decades, as confirmation that our thoughtful, responsive and collaborative approach results in meaningful solutions with enduring value.
